There are 10 picnic sites dotted along the trails and outdoor shelters available for rent that offer instant picnic shelter along the shores of Lake Norman. Patriot Pier is a popular place to enjoy the scenery of Lake Norman and a memorable place to have a picnic at sunset. Lake Norman State Park offers picnic tables in 3 areas. At this time, the picnic area near the old bathing area is not recommended due to the construction of the new Visitor Center.
This 46-acre waterfront park welcomes families and individuals.
