Lake Norman
is currently accepting applications for general utility workers and an office assistant from the visitor center. Lake Norman State Park has a 32-site family campground available year-round that can be booked up to 11 months in advance. The namesake lake is the largest artificial lake in the state, and the park covers approximately 17 miles of its northern shoreline.Located in Iredell County, 40 miles north of Charlotte, Lake Norman State Park has the region's popular mountain bike trail system, the Itusi Trail, which offers nearly 31 miles of single-track trail.
